Our goal is to provide our clients with excellent service in a friendly and relaxed manner in our recently expanded state-of-the-art clinic. It is of primary importance to our staff to provide our hearing healthcare services, including hearing aids and other devices at the lowest possible cost while still offering personalized professional care using the latest technology available. Our Team

Chris Kerr

Board-certified Hearing Instrument Specialist

 

Chris was born and raised in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cape Breton University in 1999. After graduating, Chris worked in Atlanta and Tampa in the United States and then Toronto, Ontario. He and his wife Sandy decided to move back to Cape Breton in 2002, where Chris started working at Cape Breton Hearing Services. In his spare time Chris works as an assistant coach for the Cape Breton University women’s soccer team. He currently lives in North Sydney with his wife Sandy and daughter Rielle.

 

Chris is a Board-certified Hearing Instrument Practitioner and an active member of the Hearing Aid Society of Nova Scotia and the Canadian Hearing Instruments Practitioners Society.

 Matt Mac Mullin

Board-certified Hearing Instrument Specialist

 

Matt has been with Cape Breton Hearing Services since September of 2002. He was quite pleased with the opportunity to move back to Cape Breton with his family. He has extensive technical knowledge and a background in electronics and wanted to use these skills along with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for individuals with hearing loss. He is a past president of the Hearing Instrument Practitioners of Atlantic Canada and the Nova Scotia Hearing Aid Society. He has worked with the Province of Nova Scotia to improve and update the educational standards for licensing requirements for hearing instrument practitioners. Matt resides in Sydney River with his wife Kerri and son Kenneth.

 

Matt is a Board-certified Hearing Instrument Practitioner and an active member of the Hearing Aid Society of Nova Scotia and the Canadian Hearing Instruments Practitioners Society. He is also the current president and Nova Scotia Director for the Canadian Hearing Instruments Practitioners Society.

Kerri Carmichael

Office Manager

 

Kerri is our office manager and has been with Cape Breton Hearing Services since 2006. Kerri was raised in the Sydney River area and obtained her Hospitality and Business Management degree from Cape Breton University in 1991. She takes pride in offering all of our client’s friendly informative service and handles all of our day-to-day administrative duties.
